Shaolin Wushu Training Center

On the 11th of January 2019 the Shaolin Wushu Training Center for Traditional and Modern Chinese Martial Art (“Wushu”) opened in Vienna. Led by Shifu Shi Heng Zhan (35th generation Shaolin monk), who has been training since the age of six, we offer authentic lessons in Kung Fu, San Da, Tai Ji and Qi Gong. Based on wisdom from old traditions of over 1,500 years we want to inspire our students and help them strengthen their body, mind and self-confidence. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us (contact form) or just come by for a free trial training.

Training

In the West, Chinese martial arts are known by the term ‘Kung Fu‘ (meaning ‘hard work’). In China, all styles and techniques of martial arts are understood by the term ‘Wushu’. Our trainings are based on the traditional and modern methods of the great martial arts schools of Henan Province. You are welcome to take part in a free trial training.

Forms of Training

Kung Fu (Wushu)

After an intensive warm-up program, basic exercises (basics), kicks and punches as well as stances and jumps are trained together. After a short break, we stretch together and prepare the body for the second session. In the last third of the training, the forms are trained. The special and standardized movements of the forms have been handed down for generations and are trained by our students.

Power & Stretch

Extra stamina, strength and agility are built up and continuously improved in the one-hour “Power & Stretch” units. The training is characterized by a very high level of intensity and many strength and cardio exercises. Finally, the well warmed up body is stretched intensively.

San Da

The Chinese boxing (San-Da) is a discipline that consists mainly of punches, kicks and throws. The technique is designed for “duels” and enjoys increasing popularity within the mixed martial arts scene. It is not primarily about “fighting”, but about improving own body awareness, self-defense and right falling techniques.

Qi Gong

The Qi flow is harmonized and regulated by fluid movements of the body flowing into each other. The slow movements help to improve the flexibility and coordination ability in a gentle way while activating the self-healing power of the body. The mind is calmed in short phases of meditation while at the same time increasing alertness and mindfulness.

Tai Ji

The units are offered in cooperation with “Taichillen”. Various courses and seminars are offered by Ingrid Bruckmüller and trained directly at the Shaolin Wushu Training Center. Further information at www.taichillen.at

Training Plan

On our timetable you will find an overview of the training times.
